Abstract
INDUÇÃO DE ESTERILIDADE MASCULINA EM PLANTAS POR EXPRESSÃO DE NÍVEIS ELEVADOS DE AVIDINA. Plantas estéreis macho podem ser produzidas por aumentar a concentração endógena de avidina. Este resultado pode ser obtido pela produção de plantas transgênicas que contêm um vetor de expressão no qual um promotor é ligado operativamente a uma seqüência de DNA que codifica a avidina. Métodos para restauração da fertilidade masculina também são revelados.
