A invenção se refere a um método de controle de paradas de uma bomba em uma estação de bombas de água de esgoto. De acordo com a invenção, o suprimento de corrente para o motor é controlado de modo que a bomba, em certas vezes opera até o nível da água ter baixado tanto que a bomba comece a sugar ar.
