A invenção se refere a um dispositivo de segurança (7), disposto entre a cabina de motorista (2) e o chassi (1) de um veículo com cabina de motorista basculável. O dispositivo abrange uma parte acolhedora de energia (11), a qual amortece o movimento de basculamento da cabina de motorista (2), quando a cabina de motorista (2), em virtude de uma falha de funcionamento de seu cilindro de basculamento (3), se movimenta descontroladamente na direção da posição final de basculamento para frente.
