Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR CLORETO DE 1-(2'-DESÓXI-2',2'-DIFLÚOR-D-RIBOFURANOSIL)-4-AMIOPIRIMIDIN-2-ONA". Esta invenção produz um processo para a preparação de cloreto de gencitabina o qual consiste de desbloquear a -1-(2'-desóxi-2',2'-diflúor-3',5'-di-O-benzoíla-D-ribofuranosil)-4-aminopirimidin-2-ona com uma quantidade de catalisadora de um alquilamina na presença de metanol ou etanol em uma ambiente essencialmente livre de água, tratanto a solução resultante com ácido clorídrico e um anti-solvente; e na recuperação do cloreto de gencitabina sólido resultante.
