A invenção refere-se a novas amidas de ácido tio-carboxílico aromáticas subistituídas da fórmula geral (I) em que R^ 1^, R^ 2^ e R^ 3^ são hidrogênio ou vários substituintes e Z é heterociclila, heterociclilamino ou heterociclilimino saturados ou insaturados, monocíclicos ou bicíclicos, eventualmente substituídos, e ao seu uso como herbicidas.
