Abstract
Um conjunto de soquete e plugue elétrico ambientalmente protegido (10) preserva a segurança contra a ação ambiental durante a totalidade de repetidas conexões e desconexões. O conjunto de soquete e plugue inclui um soquete (100) contendo um condutor elétrico (85) e adaptado para receber inserivelmente um plugue (90), um vedante ambiental (140) pelo menos parcialmente preenchendo o soquete para que o vedante seja pelo menos parcialmente deslocado do soquete quando o plugue é inserido no interior do soquete, e um dispositivo de encerramento elastomérico (40) dotado de uma covinha reentrante (50) para ser flexionada para o exterior para conter o vedante deslocado quando o plugue é inserido no interior do soquete e para compelir o vedante a refluir para o interior do soquete quando o plugue é removido.
