Consiste em um bloco poroso de um metal condutor térmico fabricado com grãos sinterizados, que permite a passagem de um fluído através de seus poros, trocando calor com a massa métalica, sendo que a fonte de calor pode estar dentro ou fora de bloco sinterizado.
