Abstract
Aparelho de hipotermia extracorpórea pondo em aplicação, para provocar o aquecimento localizado de um alvo biológico, um feixe de ondas elásticas focalizado, de potência muito elevada, emitido por trens de ondas de muito curta duração. Esta é no máximo igual àquela (t~ o~) que permite uma destruição do alvo durante a parte quase-linear da curva de elevação de temperatura em função do tempo.
