Apresenta-se um derivado de 1-fenil-4-trifuormetiluracila da fórmula geral (vide fórmula): em que R^ 1^ é hidrogênio ou metila e R^ 2^ é alquila de C~ 1~ -C~ 7~ ou cicloalquila de C~ 3~ -C~ 7~ opcionalmente substituída com alquila de C~ 1~ -C~ 3~ . Apresentam-se também uma composição herbicida que contém este derivado como ingrediente ativo e um processo para exterminar ervas daninhas mediante a aplicação desta composição herbicida.
