Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para inibir a formação de polímero formado sobre as superfícies internas de um reator de polimerização de vinila por revestimento de tais superfícies com uma solução alcalina de um composto de baixo peso molecular linear ou ramificado pertencente às famílias de poli(hidroxi benzil) e poli(hidroxi benzil éter) e que inclui seus copolímeros ou misturas. Este processo reduz eficazmente a aderência de material polimérico às partes internas do reator em que os monômeros de etileno substituídos são polimerizados.
