Abstract

Novos compostos são representados pela Fórmula I: (Vide fórmula) e sais e complexos do mesmo; onde R é um grupo alquila tendo pelo menos um -SO~ 3~ H e pelo menos uma OH; cada R' é, independentemente, selecionado dentre hidrogênio, um grupo alquila insubstituíto ou inertemente substituído, um grupo alquila substituído com um grupo carbonila, com um ácido carboxílico, sal ou complexo do grupo carboxila, ou um grupo alcoxi; R'' é hidroxialquila; e x+y+z=3 e são bons quelantes. Os compostos são, também, biodegradáveis e são especialmente úteis nas composições de lavagem preferivelmente contendo detergentes em condicionamento de gás e outras aplicações de quelação.
