Abstract
É propiciado um processo para melhorar a qualidade de reciclo de certos resíduos, mediante modificação da separação de alcanos e materiais semelhantes a alcano e impurezas contendo carbonilo a partir do reciclo durante a produção de ácido acético pela carbonilação de metanol. O aperfeiçoamento compreende operar uma coluna separadora do estado da técnica num modo de refluxo e dividir o resíduo a partir daí pela adição de água. O processo também reduz o volume de eliminação de reagentes recicláveis potencialmente valiosos.
