Abstract
Expõe-se um absorvente feminino, o qual é dotado de um núcleo absorvente segmentado transversalmente. O núcleo apresenta-se dividido em uma pluralidade de segmentos independentes (26'), cada um capaz de movimentar-se perpendicularmente ao plano de absorvente feminino sem coibições decorrentes desse movimento, impostas pelos segmentos adjacentes. Cada segmento pode ser desconectado em relação ao segmento adjacente, ou conectado ao segmento adjacente por meio de uma conexão `istmica (27) registrada com a linha de centro longitudinal do absorvente feminino ou por duas conexões `istmicas, uma registrada com cada borda lateral longitudinal do núcleo.
