Apresentam-se composições detergentes que compreendem um componente de carboxilato de alquil etóxi e um componente de amida de ácido graxo poliidróxi. As composições detergentes desta invenção possuem propriedades melhoradas de limpeza e formação de espuma e apresentam maior suavidade para a pele. Trata-se aqui também de um processo de limpeza de louça suja mediante o tratamento desta louça com as composições detergentes indicadas aqui.
