Abstract

O carbonato de cálcio é preparado por: (a) caldear cal viva em um meio aquoso; (b) passar a suspensão de hidróxido de cálcio através de uma peneira; (c) converter o hidróxido de cálcio em uma condição finamente dispersa; (d) carbonizar e neutralizar a supensão de cal caldeada finamente dispersa formada na etapa (c) utilizando um gás compreendendo dióxido de carbono; e (e) separar o carbonato de cálcio precipitado formado na etapa (2) do meio aquoso no qual está suspenso.
