Abstract

As propriedades mecânicas de um extrudado de liga de alumínio em uma direção transversal específica são melhoradas recalcando-se o bilete de extrusão em pelo menos uma direção escolhida com referência à direção transversal específica. Por exemplo, o bilete de extrusão pode geralmente ter a seção transversal circular com um ou dois segmentos opostos aparecendo. O extrudado pode ser submetido a um tratamento termomecânico e/ou tratamento vibracional. Um tratamento termomecânico final preferido também está descrito.
