É descrito um tablete químico toroidal 12 com uma barreira periférica impermeável a água ajustada 14 circundando seus lados com superfícies anulares e expostas superior e inferior. O tablete 12 tem um furo central 16 para ajudar no fluxo de água e dissolver de dentro para fora para uma alimentação igual. É também descrito um tablete químico para piscina 12 parcialmente encerrado em uma cobertura 14 e qual quando colocada em uma escumadeira de piscina fornece uma indicação visual quando o tablete 12 está substancialmente dissolvido, bem como processos para usar o tablete 12.
