Abstract
Faz referência à fabricação de ácido acético pela reação numa zona de reação de etileno e oxigênio molecular na presença de um catalisador sólido contendo os elementos e proporções indicados pela fórmula empírica Pd~ a~ M~ b~ TiP~ c~ O~ x~ (Fórmula I) onde M é escolhido de Cd, Au, Zn, Tl, metais alcalinos e metais de terra alcalina: a é de 0,0005 a 0,2; b é de zero a 3a; c é 0,5 a 2,5; e x é um valor suficiente para satisfazer os requisitos de valência dos outros elementos presentes, e em que tal catalisador contém TiP~ 2~ O~ 7~ cristalino.
