Abstract
Halocarbonetos tais como CCl~ 2~ F~ 2~ , CF~ 3~ CFHCL ou CF~ 3~ CFCl~ 2~ que contêm cloro e/ou bromo são contactados com hidrogênio na presença de carbeto de silício e/ou um metal selecionado de alumínio, molibdênio, titânio, níquel, ferro ou cobalto (ou suas ligas) em temperaturas de 350-700°C e pressões de 0-70,3 kgf/cm^ 2^ para obter-se um produto onde pelo menos um cloro ou bromo no material de partida foi substituído por hidrogênio.
