Abstract
SISTEMA DE PRÃTESE DE JUNTA DE FACETAà descrita uma prótese de junta de faceta que compreende um par de elementos da faceta para encaixar os processos articulares superior e inferior de uma junta de faceta. Os elementos da faceta são providos com uma ou mais superfÃcies de articulação para movimento articulado entre elas. Os elementos da faceta são também providos com um dispositivo de encaixe positivo para impedir separação dos elementos e/ou limitar o movimento relativo entre eles em uma faixa predeterminada. Em um aspecto, a invenção provê um espaçador para posicionamento entre os elementos da faceta e para distratar a junta de faceta. O espaçador pode também servir para formar uma massa lateral artificial entre as superfÃcies de articulação superior e inferior. O espaçador pode ser provido com dispositivo de encaixe para encaixar positivamente um ou ambos elementos da faceta.
