MÃTODO PARA AUMENTAR O TEOR DE ÃCIDO GRAXO TOTAL DE UMA SEMENTE DE SOJA, PRODUTO OU SUBPRODUTO, MÃTODO PARA PRODUZIR UMA SEMENTE DE SOJA COM UM AUMENTO NO TEOR DE ÃCIDO GRAXO TOTAL E MÃTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM PRODUTOA presente invenção refere-se a sementes de soja transgênicas contendo teor de ácido graxo total aumentado em pelo menos 20% e perfis de ácido graxos alterados quando comparado ao teor de ácido graxo total da semente de soja não transgênica e não segregante descritas. Genes DGAT da Yarrowia lipolytica combinadas com a regulação negativa da fosfoglucomutase plastÃdica são usados para conseguir o aumento nos lipÃdeos de armazenamento de semente.
