A presente invenção refere-se, em uma modalidade, aos interagentes de exosítio(s) de PAPP-A, tais como anticorpos, que se ligam a uma região que compreende LNR3 de PAPP-A e inibem eficientemente a proteólise de IGFBP-4 mas não de -5. A região que compreende LNR3 representa um exosítio de ligação ao substrato, que pode ser atingido pela inibição proteolítica seletiva. Consequentemente, a presente invenção refere-se, em uma modalidade, a inibição diferencial de substratos naturais de protease objetivando o exosítio.
