BETA-XILOSIDASES TÃRMICAS E ÃCIDOS TOLERANTES, CODIFICAÃÃO DE GENES, ORGANISMOS RELACIONADOS E MÃTODOS. A presente invenção refere-se a polipeptÃideos isolados e/ou purificados e sequências de ácido nucleico que codificam os polipeptÃdeos a partir de Alicyclobacillus acidocaldarius e variações dos mesmos. Além disso, são fornecidos métodos de pelo menos parcialmente degradar xilotriose e/ou xilobiose usando polipeptideos isolados e/ou purificados e sequências de ácidos nucleicos que codificam os polipeptÃdeos de Alicyclobacillus acidocaldarius e variações dos mesmos.
