PROCESSO DE PRODUÇÃO DE PROPILENOGLICOL A PARTIR DE GLICERINA DE BIODIESEL. A presente invenção descreve um processo para a produção de propilenoglicol a partir de glicerina gerada durante o processo de obtenção de biodiesel, sendo a transformação de glicerina purificada em propilenoglicol realizada por meio de uma reação de hidrogenôlise em fase líquida, em duas etapas consecutivas, porém em um mesmo reator (1) de leito fixo sob condições determinadas de temperatura e pressão, cujo efluente do reator (1) de leito fixo é conduzido a etapas subsequentes de processo que compreendem separação e purificação.
