Abstract
MÃTODO PARA REDUZIR A DEPOSIÃÃO DE AMILÃIDE, NEUROTOXICIDADE DE AMILÃDE E MICROGLIOSE COM O ENANTIÃMERO DE (-) - NILVADIPINO.A presente invenção fornece para reduzir a deposição de AB, neurotoxidade AB e microglicose em um animal ou ser humano afligido com uma doença amiloidogênica cerebral, tal como doença de Alzheimer (AD) pela administração de quantidade terapeuticamente eficazes do (R) - enantiômero do composto diidropiridina nilvadipino,também conhecido como (-) - nilvadipino, ao animal ou ser humano. São ainda fornecidos métodos para reduzir o risco de deposição de AB , neurotoxicidade Aà e microglicose em animais ou seres humanos sofrendo de lesão cerebral traumática pela administração de (-)-nilvadipino depois da lesão cerebral traumática e continuação do tratamento por um perÃodo transcrito de tempo a partir deste ponto.
