Abstract
PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÃÃO DE CETOÃCIDOS E SEUS DERIVADOS. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de alfa-cetoácidos, em particular de alfa-cetometionina, e seus derivados, e também ao uso de tióis para reverter a polaridade de aldeÃdos alifáticos ou aromáticos. Nesse processo, a) um aldeÃdo é reagido com tióis para dar o ditioacetal correspondente, e b) o ditioacetal resultante então reage com um eletrófilo em presença de uma base e depois hidrólise para dar um ácido alfa,alfa-(ditio)carboxÃlico e c) o ácido alfa,alfa-(ditio)carboxÃlico é então reagido via solvólise catalisada com ácido para dar o alfa-cetoácido e seus derivados, com liberação de tiol.
