Abstract
PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇÃO DE ÓXIDO DE ETILENO E, OPCIONALMENTE, ETILENO GLICOL. A invenção fornece um processo para a produção de óxido de etileno e, opcionalmente, etileno glicol. Uma base é adicionada em uma ou mais posições a jusante de uma seção de resfriamento brusco de um absorvedor de óxido de etileno para manter um pH na faixa de 5,5 a 9,5. Isto mitiga a corrosão nas instalações de óxido de etileno e etileno glicol.
