Mais particularmente refere-se a um elemento acendedor (1), do tipo empregado para acender carvão ou lenha de churrasqueiras, lareiras e outros; cada elemento acendedor (1) é conformado por um tolete de pequenas dimensões, de formato qualquer, obtido a partir da moldagem e prensagem de um composto de parafina de grau alimentar e aditivo, preferencialmente fios de barbante ou equivalente, sendo dito acendedor inflamável e auto-consumível.
