METODO PARA LOCALIZAR UMA FALHA EM UMA REDE, E, GERENCIAMENTO DE REDE Um método para localizar a falha em uma rede é divulgado. A rede compreende nós (SWl ... SW4), enlaces, e nós de borda (ENi ... EN4) arranjada como uma pluralidade de árvores geradoras (Ti, T2,T3) , as árvores geradoras sendo parcialmente disjuntas. A rede ainda compreende meios de gerenciamento de rede. O método compreendendo os passos de receber informação sobre a configuração da pluralidade de topologias de árvore em uma rede; monitorar conectividade em uma rede; quando da detecção de uma perda de conectividade na rede, identificar a árvore(s) falhada(s), e determinar um elemento de rede comum para árvore(s) falhada(s).
