Um processo para preparrar partículas poliméricas absorvedoras de água, pós-reticuladas, com elevada absorção por polimerização de gotículas de uma solução de monômeros em uma fase gasosa circundando as gotículas, em que o teor de sólidos da solução de monômeros é pelo menos 35% em peso e as partículas poliméricas têm um diâmetro médio de pelo menos 150 m.
