Abstract
EMPACOTAMENTO ADAPTATIVO DE VOZ É apresentado um método para adaptar o tamanho de pacote para comunicações VoIP, determinado instantaneamente pelo retardo de rede total inerente no momento da transmissão do pacote. Se os retardos de rede forem pequenos em relação à latência máxima permissível para comunicações VoIP, o tamanho da carga útil por pacote pode ser aumentado para maximizar a eficiência para a chamada transmitida. Alternativamente, se os retardos de rede forem grandes, o tamanho de carga útil por pacote pode ser diminuído para garantir que a qualidade percebida da chamada transmitida seja aceitável.
