DERIVADO DE TIAZOL. A invenção soluciona o problema de obter um composto que é útil como um ativador de glicoquinase (GK), e como resultado de um estudo extenso sobre derivados de tiazol, descobriu-se que um composto que tem um grupo oxamoila, um grupo glicol ou similares em um anel tiazol, e um composto que tem um grupo acetamida substituído com um grupo heteroarila bicíclico, tal com uma quinolila, tem um bom efeito de ativação de GK. Estes compostos são úteis como agentes terapêuticos para diabetes, particularmente diabetes tipo 2.
