Trata-se de uma caixa de terminais (24b) para uso com linhas de telecomunicação. A caixa de terminais (24b) inclui uma base (32b> e uma tampa (34b) . A base é uma estrutura de parede dupla moldada definindo um interior substancialmente oco. A base (32b) inclui paredes opostas de topo e de fundo e paredes opostas de extremidade (68b) e uma parede traseira ciue se estende entre a parede de topo, a parede de fundo e as paredes de extremidade (68b). A tampa (34b) é acoplada de modo móvel à parede de topo. Uma porção de pelo menos uma das paredes opostas de extremidade (68b) define uma região de parede dupla comprimida que forma uma entrada para a linha de telecomunicação (70b).
