Abstract
GRAXAS LUBRIFICANTES CONTENDO DITIOCARBAMATOS DE ANTIMÔNIO. É sabido que o ditiocarbamato de antimônio proporciona proteção contra pressão extrema (EP) em composições lubrificantes, tal como graxa. Contudo, existe a vontade de se reduzir a quantidade de antimônio usada em tais composições, enquanto mantendo ainda o desempenho aceitável sob EP. Descobriu-se agora mediante uso de pequenas quantidades quer seja de ditiocarbamato de amônio ou de ditiocarbamato de zinco em combinação com o ditiocarbamato de antimônio (SbDTC), uma quantidade inferior de SbDTC pode ser usada na composição lubrificante enquanto ainda mantendo excelente ou excepcional proteção contra EP. Para neutralizar os efeitos corrosivos do SbDTC e composição de ditiocarbamato de amônio, descobriu-se que os compostos contendo um grupo de ácido carboxílico são eficazes para evitar a corrosão do cobre.
