PROCESSO DE TRANSFORMAÇÃO DE POLIESTIRENO EXPANDIDO EM IONÔMEROS DE POLIESTIRENO SULFONADO. A patente de invenção diz respeito a um processo de transformação do poliestireno expandido (ISOPOR ) em lonômeros de Poliestireno Sulfonado (SPS), neutralizados com diferentes lons de interesse, dispostos na tabela periódica (MSPS), para ser utilizado em diversas tecnologias, seja em estado de gel, sólido e líquido, como: agente compatibilizante nas áreas poliméricas, compósitos, aditivos em argamassas e concretos; lubrificante; material propulsor de tecnologia em membranas permeaseletivas na biomedicina e células de combustível, entre elas a de hidrogênio; e, como componentes de tintas.
