Abstract
"MÉTODO E COMPONENTES SEM FIO QUE IMPLEMENTAM O PROCEDIMENTO DE PASSAGEM PARA A COMUNICAÇÃO EM REDE DE ÁREA LOCAL SEM FIO". A presente invenção se relaciona com redes de área local sem fio, e em particular com a família dos protocolos IEEE 802.11. Ela consiste é consistida de um método e de um dispositivo que podem ser implementados em um ponto de acesso (PA), em uma unidade de transmissão e recepção sem fio (WTRU) assinante, para que permita um PA a iniciar a re-associação da WTRU consigo mesmo, ou com um diferente PA. A presente invenção melhora a robustez da rede, por permitir um balanceamento de carga mais eficiente, o controle de congestionamento, e o domiciliamento, sem que comprometa e experiência do usuário.
