Abstract
ANEL DE ANULOPLASTIA PARA PROLAPSO DE VÁLVULA MITRAL. A presente invenção refere-se a um anel de anuloplastia mitral (40) que apresenta um encurvamento posterior para fora (50) e um para cima (60). O anel define um formato oval modificado fechado com uma proporção de dimensão de eixo menor para maior entre cerca de 3,3:4 a 4:4. o anel é produzido a partir de um material que irá substancialmente resistir a distorção quando submetido a tensão proporcionada no mesmo quando o anel for implantado no anel de válvula mitral em um coração humano operante. Como um resultado, o anel de anuloplastia corrige as patologias associadas com o prolapso da válvula mitral, ou a síndrome de Barlow, na qual os folículos tendem a se alongar ou se tornarem frouxos.
