Abstract
CLORETO DE CETILPIRIDÍNIO COMO AGENTE ANTIMICROBIANO EM COMPOSIÇÕES OFTÁLMICAS. A presente invenção refere-se a uma solução multipropósito para cuidados com lentes de contato com alta atividade antimicrobiana compreendendo, em um meio líquido aquoso, cloreto de cetilpiridínio e um tensoativo não-iônico. Em uma modalidade da invenção, o tensoativo não-iônico é um copolímero em bloco poli(oxipropileno)-poli(oxietileno). A solução, opcionalmente, pode incluir também componentes antimicrobianos adicionais, um componente tampão, um componente indutor de viscosidade, um tensoativo, taurina, propilenoglicol e/ou um componente de tonicidade. Essa solução. adicionalmente, evita perdas da integridade da membrana do tecido ocular durante o uso de lentes de contato.
