Abstract
ALQUILAMINA COMO UM AGENTE ANTIMICROBIANO EM COMPOSIÇÕES OFTÁLMICAS. A presente invenção refere-se a uma solução de múltiplos propósitos para o cuidado de lentes de contato, que tem alta atividade contra fungos e certas bactérias, compreendendo, em um meio aquoso líquido, uma alquilamina tendo a seguinte fórmula, onde R1 é uma C~ 13~-~ 17~ alquilamina, e R2 e R3 são, cada um independentemente, H ou -CH~ 3~, e um tensoativo não-iônico. A solução pode opcionalmente também incluir componentes antimicrobianos adicionais, um componente de tampão, um componente indutor da viscosidade, um tensoativo, taurina, propileno glicol e/ou um componente de tonicidade. Esta solução adicionalmente impede as perdas na integridade da membrana do tecido ocular durante o uso da lente de contato.
