Divulga-se um método para unir tubo usando uma composição adesiva curável de uma ou duas partes compreendendo uma quantidade eficaz de um composto iniciador contendo boro tal como um organoborato, um complexo de organoborano estabilizado, ou combinações dos mesmos; um ou mais monômeros, oligômeros, polímeros ou misturas dos mesmos tendo insaturação olefínica que seja capaz de polimerização via radicais livres; e opcionalmente um agente descomplexante.
