Abstract
"USO DE LEUCINA, E, COMPOSIÇÃO PARA ADMIMSTRAÇÃO ENTÉRICA A PACIENTES". A presente invenção diz respeito a um método para o tratamento e/ou a prevenção de feridas crônicas, referido método compreendendo administrar entericamente a um paciente uma composição em que a proteína representa entre 10 e 40% do teor calórico total da composição; o carboidrato representa entre 15 e 90% do teor calórico total da composição; e em que a proteína fornece entre 0,5 e 5 gramas de glicina por quantidade servida e/ou entre 1 e 5 gramas de leucina por quantidade servida. Outros aspectos da invenção dizem respeito a composições que podem vantajosamente ser usadas no tratamento ou prevenção de feridas crônicas.
