Abstract

"ALGORITMO HIERÁRQUICO DE ELIMINAÇÃO SUCESSIVA, APLICADO À ESTIMAÇÃO DE VETORES DE MOVIMENTO E À QUANTIZAÇÃO VETORIAL". Novo processo de estimação e compensação de movimento aplicado na codificação de imagens utilizado nos serviços como transmissão de vídeo pela Internet, TV digital , vídeo conferência, vídeo por demanda, e outros, traduzindo-se em um algoritmo de eliminação sucessiva hierárquico, o qual reduz a quantidade de bits necessária à codificação da seqüência de vídeo, e/ou de imagens em geral, acarretando um armazenamento e uma transmissão mais eficiente da informação, proporcionando uma sensível redução de custos e uma grande qualidade de transmissão de sinal.
