A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição farmacêutica de uso tópico para eliminação seletiva de morcegos hematófagos a ser aplicada diretamente no corpo de um mamífero, e a um método para aplicação da composição farmacêutica no animal mamífero quando em seus habitats ou em regiões ou ambientes de criação de animais mamíferos, ou ainda quando confinados. A composição inclui como princípio ativo os anticoagulantes cumarínicos.
