A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para secagem de polímeros contendo N ou grupos amino, amônio ou amônio espirobicíclico, compreendendo grupos catiônicos contendo N e contra-íons adequados, no qual polímeros gelificados e lavados obtidos por polimerização, reticulação e opcionalmente alquilação, são secos continuamente usando um meio gasoso em pressão normal ou sobrepressão em um leito fluidizado.
