Uma estrutura de filtro de água (10) que permita a colocação uniforme em refrigeradores no momento da fabricação do refrigerador, inclui uma unidade independente (11), que inclui um componente de filtro (16), conexões de entrada (12) e saída (22a, 22b) e meio de armazenamento de água (14) todos fixos em uma única peça para colocação, em sua totalidade, em um único ponto de acoplamento que seja um abastecimento de água interno do refrigerador (13). inclui também um método para colocação uniforme de uma estrutura de filtro de água em refrigeradores no momento da fabricação do refrigerador.
