Abstract
"PREPARAÇÃO DE POLIÉSTERES INSATURADOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para fabricação de poliésteres insaturados de 2-metil-1,3-propanodiol (MPD). O processo compreende reagir um equivalente de um diácido aromático com cerca de dois equivalentes de MPD, para produzir um diol éster e, então, reagir um equivalente do diol éster com cerca de 1,1 a cerca de 1,9 equivalentes de anidrido maléico para produzir o poliéster. O poliéster tem uma proporção de fumarato/maleato de 90/10 ou superior.
