Um método para a resolução de uma mistura dos enantiômeros cis ou trans de um composto da fórmula [estrutura química inserida] onde R~ 1~ é -O-C(O)alquila, -OC(O)arila ou -O-C(O)cicloalquila contatando-se a mistura com uma enzima de hidrolase de éster carboxílico que catalisa a hidrólise estereoseletiva da mistura e o uso de tais enantiômeros para produzir compostos anti-tumor que são especialmente adequados para administração oral.
