Uma composição tópica, útil para a redução do crescimento capilar, inclui -difluorometilornitina e um veÍculo dermatologicamente aceitável, que compreende pelo menos 4%, em peso, de um éter de polioxietileno tendo a fórmula química R(OCH~ 2~CH~ 2~)~ b~OH, em que R é um grupo alquila saturado ou insaturado incluindo de 6 a 22 átomos de carbono e b é de 1 a 200.
