Abstract
"MOLÉCULAS DE PROTEÍNA C OU SEMELHANTES A PROTEINA C ATIVADA". A presente invenção está relacionada a novos conjugados entre variantes de polipeptídeos de proteína c e uma porção não polipeptídica, tal como PEG ou porções de açúcar. Em particular, a presente invenção fornece novos conjugados de proteína C tendo uma resistência aumentada à inativação por, por exemplo, plasma humano e alfa-1 antitripsina. Conseqüentemente, tais conjugados possuem uma meia-vida in vivo aumentada. Exemplos de preferência incluem conjugados de proteína C, onde pelo menos um sítio de N-glicosilação adicional in vivo foi introduzido. Os conjugados da invenção são úteis para tratamento de uma variedade de doenças, incluindo choque séptico.
