Abstract
"MELHORA NA ACEITAÇÃO DE ENXERTO ATRAVÉS DA MANIPULAÇÃO DA REGENERAÇÃO DO TIMO". A presente descrição fornece processos para induzir tolerância em um receptor a um enxerto com a combinação errada de um órgão, tecido e/ou células. Recebendo o timo do receptor e fornecendo células tronco hematopoiéticas do doador, a combinação que era anteriormente "estranha" se torna reconhecida como "própria" no receptor e não é rejeitada. A população de células T do paciente é eliminada. Em uma modalidade preferida as células tronco hematopoiéticas são CD34+. O timo do receptor é reativado através da interrupção da sinalização mediada por esteróide sexual para o timo. Em uma modalidade preferida esta interrupção é criada através da administração de agonistas para LHRH, antagonistas para LHRH, anticorpos anti-receptor de LHRH, vacinas anti-LHRH ou combinações dos mesmos.
